Goal 1:
Build the capacity to conduct research and advance knowledge that will support excellence in STEM education and use data to inform practice and policy.

Goal 2:
Lead research and advocacy efforts to influence the landscape of STEM education in K-12 schools, community colleges, and four-year colleges and universities.

Goal 3:
Collaborate with key stakeholders including the Iowa Mathematics and Science Education Partnerships (IMSEP), Iowa Department of Education, K-12 schools, Iowa Regent Universities, Iowa community colleges, STEM faculty, STEM teachers, and educational leaders to increase the number and improve the retention rate of mathematics and science teachers in Iowa.

Goal 4:
Strengthen CESMEE by making it a more responsive, vital, and sustainable organization in Iowa, the nation, and the world.
